As the artist himself says: “Sometimes the inspiration is a story, other times a memory or a specific view. In the case of ‘The Fortress of the Lady of the Ravens,’ the inspiration was a new, wonderfully glowing paint. In reality, it’s a painting about pink-red flowers against a navy blue background.
