Time flows differently in the paddock – it’s a place where horses and riders have a moment to breathe before competing on the track. “Paddock” by Bogusław Lustyk is a painting in which the artist captured this atmosphere of anticipation before the races. Boguslaw Lustyk, with a passion for observing the paddock, where horses calmly walk around, warm up their muscles, and synchronize spirit with the rider, has conveyed in his work both the tension and tranquility preceding the competition.
The artist particularly remembers a horse named Simpatico, about whom an American film with the same title was made, featuring top actors including Sharon Stone and Jeff Bridges, with whom Lustyk interacted on set, joked, and took photos together. These were the years of the artist’s stay in the USA, where he celebrated triumphs and actively conquered the local market. ✨🐎
“Paddock” not only immortalizes the aesthetics and emotions accompanying horse races but also tells the story of an artist who paints not just horses, but their souls.
