Ifrits, in Arabic mythology, are powerful fire spirits that often appear in tales and legends as guardians of treasures and ancient places. In this picturesque scenery, we see an extraordinary city surrounded by golden desert sands, full of majestic buildings and sculptures, over which a flying ship hovers.”
The artist talks about the creation of this piece: “The Oasis of the Ifrits originated as a reworking of a commissioned painting that initially had very detailed specifications. I decided to repaint it, and now it presents itself in a version that I personally like much more.”
